  25.  If you are updating your Command Post from version 7.0Q or older...
  26.  and you use the Command Post TASKMAN.EXE file, you MUST use the new version
  27.  provided with this program.  It is NOT installed automatically.  If you do
  28.  not use the new version, it simply will not work.

  33.  This version of Command Post supports IF-THEN statements as well
  34.  as GOTO statements.  See CP_HELP.CRD for new functions.

  36.  We've just added the WALLPAPER command, as well as ItemCount and
  37.  ItemExtract, along with DirRname commands in this version.

  39.  We've even added a FileAppend command.

  41.  We've Also added HOTKEY capability for menu items.  You can add hotkeys
  42.  to menu items.  Stuff like the DELETE key to delete files, etc.

  45.  Once Command Post is installed, the CP_QUEST.CRD cardfile in the
  46.  CMDPOST directory has a lot of good questions and answers.  Your

  50.  from the Command Post menu.  There is a SPECIAL SECTION in the front

  54.  all the text in the real manual, but without the illustrations.

  103.                HOW TO INSTALL COMMAND POST 7.0
  104.  
  105.  Command Post is installed automatically, via our SETUP.EXE
  106.  program, as detailed below:
  107.  
  108.  
  109.    1) Close down all extraneous Windows applications.
  110.    2) Double-Click on the SETUP.EXE program
  111.    3) When the setup program asks for a directory, specify initial directory,
  112.       or accept the given default (C:\WINDOWS\CMDPOST).
  113.  
  114.  NOTE:  If you are updating from a previous version, and made any of the
  115.         Command Post files READ-ONLY, remove the read-only attribute from
  116.         the files before running setup.
  117.         (Or else the setup process will hang)
  118.  
  119.                     UN-INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
  120.  
  121.  If, for some reason you wish to un-install Command Post from your
  122.  system, here is a checklist for doing so.
  123.  
  124.  1) Examine the SYSTEM.INI file.  If you manually installed Command Post
  125.     as your primary shell (See Docs), you must edit the SYSTEM.INI file.
  126.        Change
  127.            shell=cmdpost.exe
  128.        to
  129.            shell=progman.exe
  130.  
  131.  2) Examine the WIN.INI file.  If Command Post starts automatically...
  132.        Change
  133.            run=cmdpost.exe
  134.        to
  135.            run=
  136.    If there is other stuff on the run= line, you probably want to
  137.    leave it there.  Just delete the cmdpost.exe from the run= line.
  138.  
  139.  3) Delete the entire [CmdPost] and [Browser] (if it exists) sections
  140.     from the WIN.INI file.  Actually you may leave them there, as
  141.     it really does not matter.
  142.  
  143.  4) Delete the following files from the directory that Command Post was
  144.     installed into.
  145.         cmdpost.exe
  146.         cp_dll.dll
  147.         cp_tree.exe
  148.         browser.exe
  149.         wininfo.exe
  150.         cp_blnk.exe
  151.         cp_help.crd
  152.         cp_quest.crd
  153.         cp_info.exe
  154.         cp_virt.bat
  155.         cmdpost.cpm
  156.         taskmanr.exe   NOT TASKMANG.EXE OR TASKMAN.EXE !!!
  157.         cmduser.cpm  (you may want to keep a copy around, esp. if you
  158.                       have put some work into this file.)

  161. 5) If a file TASKMANG.EXE (NOT TASKMANR.EXE) exists, rename it to
  162.    TASKMAN.EXE file.  (This is probably in the Windows directory.)
  163.    This is only necessary if you replaced the Windows TASKMAN.EXE
  164.    with the Command Post version of it.
  165.  
  166. 6) That should do it.

  168.                     ON-LINE SUPPORT
  169.  
  170.  Command Post is has on-line support on a number of computer systems.
  171.  
  172.  First of all, the home of Command Post is on Compuserve, in the
  173.  WINAPA forum, in the Wilson WindowWare section (#15 currently).  Also
  174.  the latest and greatest downloads are available from DL15 of the
  175.  WINAPA forum.  The Wilson WindowWare section of the WINAPA forum
  176.  is checked on a daily basis, and all questions will be responded to.
  177.  
  178.  The FidoNet Windows echomail conference is also monitored for Windows
  179.  questions in general.  Questions about Windows and Command Post will
  180.  be answered in the echo.

  182.  If your budget is not able to afford Compuserve, we strongly suggest
  183.  that you contact your local BBS sysops and encourage them to carry
  184.  the Windows echomail conferences.

  203.                      CHANGES TO THE MANUAL

  206.  In the Window 3.0 appendix we tell you how to replace
  207.  Windows 3.0's Task Manager with Command Post.  Microsoft
  208.  has since renamed Task Manager to "Task List".  The Command
  209.  Post version of the may be found in the \CP-NOTES.TMP directory
  210.  with the file name TASKMANR.EXE (If you used our install program).
  211.  If you used the manual install, you can find it in the temp
  212.  directory you used.

  224.  Command Post is not and has never been public domain
  225.  software, nor is it free software.

  227.  Non-licensed users are granted a limited license to use
  228.  Command Post on a 21-day trial basis for the purpose of
  229.  determining whether Command Post is suitable for their
  230.  needs.  The use of Command Post, except for the initial
  231.  21-day trial, requires registration.  The use of
  232.  unlicensed copies of Command Post by any person,
  233.  business, corporation, government agency or any other
  234.  entity is strictly prohibited.

  236.  A single user license permits a user to use Command Post
  237.  only on a single computer.  Licensed users may use the
  238.  program on different computers, but may not use the program
  239.  on more than one computer at the same time.

  276.            details (enclose your catalog).  Vendors may charge a
  277.            disk duplication and handling fee, which, when pro-rated
  278.            to the Command Post product, may not exceed eight dollars.

  280.         C) Non-profit user groups may distribute Command Post,
  281.            subject to the above conditions, without specific permission.
  282.            Non-profit user groups may charge a disk duplication fee,
  283.            which, when pro-rated to the Command Post product, may not

  288.   Wilson WindowWare guarantees your satisfaction with this
  289.   product for a period of 60 days from the date of original
  290.   purchase.  If you are unsatisfied with Command Post
  291.   within that time period, return the package in saleable
  292.   condition to the place of purchase for a full refund.

  294.   Wilson WindowWare warrants that all disks provided are
  295.   free from defects in material and workmanship, assuming
  296.   normal use, for a period of 60 days from the date of
  297.   purchase.

  301.   with the software product.  If a significant defect in
  302.   the product is found, the Purchaser may return the
